1904 Fouillaron Type G 6 HP tonneau

G. Fouillaron was a French manufacturer of automobiles.

Gustave Fouillaron founded the company in Angers in 1899 as a bicycle workshop. In 1900 the company moved to Levallois-Perret. The construction of automobiles started. Production ended in 1914.

The first models were similar to Renault models because the radiator was mounted behind the engine. From 1904, the radiator was placed in front of the engine and the models were given a round grille, which was reminiscent of Delaunay-Belleville models. There were built-in motors with one to six cylinders of Buchet , De Dion-Bouton and other manufacturers are used. The transmission worked with adjustable pulleys according to its own design.

Fouillaron presented two models at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris in 1901, which were equipped with single-cylinder engines from De Dion-Bouton with 6 HP or 8 HP output.

This highly unusual motor car is equipped with a single cylinder 6 HP De Dion engine and features transmission with expandable pulleys. Patented by Fouillaron, this system would later inspire the Daf, and it is connected here to a conventional rear axle with bevel gears.
