1910 La Buire Type 8000

La Buire was founded in 1847 to produce chassis for rail cars. In 1900, the company joined forces with Léon Serpollet and turned to automobiles. Their first car was presented in 1904 and the marque lasted through 1930.

It was in Lyon, in 1847 that Mr. Frossard de Saugy created the construction sites of La Buire, in the district of the same name. The company is dedicated to mechanical engineering and more specifically to rolling stock for railways. Constantly innovating, his reputation quickly surpasses borders.

After presenting the first chassis in 1904, it was on May 6th 1905 that the Société Anonyme des Automobiles La Buire has been founded. The commercial director is Mr. Audibert, the former associate of Mr. Lavirote and the technical director is Mr. Berthier, who comes from Rochet-Schneider. These two characters have already a solid experience in the field. But the bankruptcy of the parent company at the end of 1909 led to that of the cars, which nevertheless were doing well.

In 1910, the Société Nouvelle Automobiles La Buire was born and continued manufacturing. Their cars were always innovative. The brand is quickly building a solid and excellent reputation both in competition by winning very beautiful victories, and in the quality of its fabrications. Silent, robust and indefatigable, many La Buire are regularly rewarded during competitions, especially for their innovation. The range is expanding, orders are going well and a Paris store is located on the Champs Elysees.
