1913 Isotta Fraschini 100-120 hp Tipo KM

1913 Isotta Fraschini 100-120 hp Tipo KM 4 Four-Seat Torpedo Tourer

Introduced in 1910 in Paris , the KM was one of the most powerful cars of that era. It disposed of a power , thanks to the big engine from 10.6 L , which at that time could only be expressed by means of a transmission in chain . However, the car was very advanced in some respects: it had, for example, brakes on all 4 wheels . This system, designed by Oreste Fraschini , involved the separate use of the front and rear brakes.

The engine could have been that of the 100/120 HP Italian factory or the 140 CV American one ; with the first, the KM could reach a top speed of 130 km / h , with the second the incredible, for the times, 160 km / h.

Production was limited to only 50 car's.
