1930 Bugatti Type 46 Veth & Zoon Faux Cabriolet

1930 Bugatti Type 46 Veth & Zoon Faux Cabriolet

Ordered new in April of 1930 by Dutch mussel farmer C. D. Klos, this Type 46 was sent to local coach-builder Veth & Zoon. Klos commissioned them to fit the car with a 'Faux Cabriolet' similar to the d'Ieteren body on the Type 44 Bugatti he also owned. Clearly very happy with the result he held onto the car for nearly three decades. The car remained in Dutch ownership until it purchased by an American collector in 2004. He in turn sold the car to a British enthusiast, who had the rare Bugatti completely restored.
