1936 Talbot-Lago T120 Cabriolet by Graber

1936 Talbot-Lago T120 Cabriolet by Graber
The history of this automobile is closely linked to the one of the Talbot-Lago T150 C SS "Teardrop" by Figoni and Falashi #90110. Let's go back right after the Second World War in 1946 when the owner of the famous "Teardrop" #90110, which couldn't be tracked during the conflict, asked the Swiss coachbuilder Graber to fit a new convertible bodywork on its chassis. Did the car still have its original bodywork, did he want a more discreet automobile or did the bodywork simply vanish? No one seems to know. Nonetheless in 1946, Graber fits the 90110 chassis with a 4 Litres engine taken from the bodywork of the car we are offering here. Years later, #90110 goes into the hands of a major Swiss collector, still with its convertible body. Richard Adato, great historian of Delage, Delahaye and special Talbot-Lago and author of various books on this subject matter, would point out to him that his 90110 chassis was in fact originally a "Teardrop" bodywork, done by Figoni and Falashi. In 2002, the collector then decided to get the Graber convertible bodywork removed in order to put #90110 back into its original configuration by Auto Classique Touraine.
