1938 Lagonda V-12 Rapide Drophead Coupe

1938 Lagonda V-12 Rapide Drophead Coupe.
One of the very first V12 Rapides built, this example was fitted by the factory with the desirable Drophead Coupe body, finished in an unusual shade of greyish-green known as 'special mushroom'. In 1939, the car was returned to the factory for repairs and at this time, it was fitted with the four carburettor 'Le Mans' engine. During the early 1960s, it was sold to the United States until it joined the impressive Michael Kaufman collection in Austria in 1997. Upon arrival, it was subjected to a four-year restoration and has only rarely been shown in public since.
