1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Cabriolet Sport Pinin Farina
This spectacular Pinin Farina Roadster is believed to have started life as one of the eight Tipo 256 competition cars with the serial 915036. Immediately after its competition career, the car was 'recycled', re-stamped (both numbers can still be seen on the frame) and sent to the Pinin Farina works for a road going body. Now bearing chassis number 915026, the 6C 2500 SS ended up in Swiss ownership. After a long spell in the same hands it was acquired by the current owner early in 2008. He had it sympathetically restored in time for the 2008 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este where it is pictured here.
