1940 Aston Martin Speed Model Type C

The Aston Martin Speed Model Type C, also known as the Aston Martin Speed Model, was a sports car produced by Aston Martin in the 1940s. However, it's worth noting that Aston Martin faced challenges during the war years, and production of automobiles was greatly reduced due to the focus on wartime efforts. During this period, Aston Martin primarily focused on manufacturing aircraft components and equipment for the military. As a result, the production of road cars, including the Speed Model Type C, was limited. The Aston Martin Speed Model Type C was based on the pre-war Aston Martin 2-Litre Speed Model. It featured a sleek and aerodynamic body design, which was typical of Aston Martin's styling at the time. The car was equipped with a 2.0-liter inline-four engine that produced around 90 horsepower. It had a top speed of approximately 90 miles per hour (145 kilometers per hour), which was quite impressive for its time. The Type C was known for its sporty performance and handling, making it a popular choice among driving enthusiasts. However, due to the limited production during the war years, only a small number of Aston Martin Speed Model Type C cars were built.
