1930 GAR Type B5 Roadster
- Brand: GAR
The rare G.A.R. marque was founded in 1922 in the Parisian suburb of Clichy, before moving to Asniéres. For its time, the G.A.R. was an expensive car, costing 26,000 Francs when new. The G.A.R. features a tiny 1.375-liter inline eight-cylinder motor, which could push the roadster past 80 mph. The G.A.R. Type B5 also competed in the 1926 Bol d'Or 24-hour race, in which all four cars finished, proving their reliability. Despite this track record, however, G.A.R. finally shut its doors in 1934.
