1935 Delage D8-105 Sport Coupé
- Brand: Delage
1935 Delage D8-105 Sport Coupé Coachwork by Carrosserie Autobineau
One of just eight D8-105s built, this example is one of just two known survivors. It was fitted with a standard body designed by Letourneur & Marchand and built by that company's production subsidiary Autobineau. The aerodynamic coupé was ordered by industrialist Mr Le Guyader, who was also a close personal friend of Louis Delage. He sold the car in October of 1936 to make room for a brand new D8-120 Aerosport. For most of its subsequent life, it remained in France where it was displayed in the Chatelleraut Museum for over two decades.
Still in French ownership, chassis 40123 was completely restored in 1988. The current, Greek owner acquired the very rare Delage in 2010. He has since shown the D8-105 S at the 2011 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este where it received a mention of honour.
