1938 Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 B Pescara cabriolet Worblaufen

On the 3rd of December 1937, Alfa Romeo Lugano sold an Alfa 6C 2300 B Pescara chassis (813 910) to Worblaufen for SwFr. 9.700. On the sales slip it said that it would come with a Mille Miglia style grille, as featured in the catalogue.

A cabriolet body "spezial" for the 813 910 Pescara chassis (with engine 823 904) was ordered by company Höke & Steiger in Bern for SwFr. 19.000. It was to be delivered in black and with "real English " pigskin leather upholstery, and to be featured at the 1938 International Car Salon in Geneva.

1938 photos at the Geneva Salon are a testimony to the grand Worblaufen design. Later, the proud owner showed the car also at a Concours d'elegance in Czechoslovakia and won the first prize as we can see on a period postcard.
