1963 Studebaker Grand Turismo Hawk

1963 Studebaker Grand Turismo Hawk

Studebaker became the first major American manufacturer to announce an all-new design after WW2 with the introduction of its 1947 range. Created by two of the greatest automobile stylists of all time - Raymond Loewy and Virgil Exner - the sensational new Studebakers featured truly next-level styling. When fashion moved on and Loewy's Studebaker looked dated, they turned to another famed architect of automobile design, Brooks Stevens for a revision. His Gran Turismo Hawk as evidenced here, at once revitalized the brand, with nods to Mercedes and Ford automobiles of its day, it was unquestionably individual and would run in production from 1962-1964.
